Multi-camera event filming
Increasingly events, lectures, presentations, conferences etc needed to be recorded for an archive, for audience members who can’t make the event or streamed live for audiences in other parts of the world. But filming an event on a stage with one camera completely fails to capture what is happening. There are so many more elements to consider.
- The reactions of the audience, including any questions posed
- The size and geography of the event, stage and set.
- Any additional panel members on the stage, with whom the speaker may be interacting.
- Whether the event needs to be streamed live to an online audience.
All of these considerations require more than one camera.

The packages above give you a rough idea of what is possible at different budget levels. If you have an AV event team already in place providing the sound, set, lighting and any screen display, we will, of course, work closely with them so we are as discrete and integrated as possible.
The basic 3 camera packages will give you a wide shot of the stage, a close up of the speaker and a fixed reverse wide shot of the audience (ideal if you don’t want to identify individual audience members but see applause and get general reactions).
Additionally cameras give greater flexibility but require more resources. The audience Q&A example shot above could be a zoom into the audience member or a fixed close up.
We use special high sensitivity cameras to allow filming in the normally very dark environment of presentation halls.
